Parent Workshop:
Managing Sensory Needs in Neurodiverse Families
In this workshop, we’ll explore how using a “sensory lens” can:
Give us effective and compassionate strategies for meltdown moments
Cultivate understanding, respect, and empathy between family members
Create an environment where every family member can thrive
We’ll identify our own sensory needs, explore the common times when clashing sensory needs create conflict, and leave with concrete tools for supporting sensory safety and calm for ourselves and our families. The workshop will include time for learning, self-reflection, hands-on activities, and discussion.
