IN-PERSON GUARDIANSHIP TRAINING

Will your loved one be turning 18 years old in the coming year? Are you a school district who would like to support families with the guardianship process?

In Massachusetts, all persons who are 18 years old or older are presumed competent to manage their educational choices, exercise their legal rights, give informed consent to their medical care, and manage their own money. However, some individuals continue to need support with communicating and making decisions about their physical health, safety, and self-care when they turn 18. If guardianship is something you’re interested in learning more about, please take the opportunity to attend our training that can help families, school districts, and other specialists.

In this in-person training, we will explain the general guardianship process and provide you with written handouts and resources.

If you attend, you will:

  • Increase your knowledge about when guardianship of an “Incapacitated Person” is appropriate

  • Strengthen your knowledge of the guardianship process timeline

  • Learn how Infinite Routes, LLC can support your family

  • Identify legal resources to utilize during the guardianship process

  • Learn about the main guardianship documents that are required by the court

  • Understand steps necessary for completing the filing process
